Bloggers, you may not be aware of this, but you could be unwittingly throwing off your post content visually. Ever have those moments where you’re previewing your post and something doesn’t seem right? The font is a different size, or color, it’s the wrong font entirely, the spacing is off, etc. You should be using “Paste as plain text” when writing your post.
When you copy from another source, say another website, an email, or a Word document, chances are you’re also copying the style of the content along with the content itself.

“Times New Roman” is not called out in my stylesheet as my intended font. Neither is that large font size and color. This was carried over from OpenOffice Writer.
You could go into the “Text” tab in WordPress and delete that extra code, but the best solution is extremely simple.
Paste as plain text. OR Ctrl Shift V.
That’s it! Right click, find “Paste as plain text” directly under “Paste” or instead of “Ctrl V” use “Ctrl Shift V” and you have all the content without the bulk and headache of extra code.
Happy Blogging!
