The boys and I were first introduced to Tiggly and their adorable shapes (and of course, apps!) when we received our “Box of Awesome” from Blogger Bash 2014.  They were an instant hit with both of the boys.  So when Tiggly contacted me about their new Tiggly Counts, I couldn’t wait to give them a try.  Below is my Tiggly Counts Review.

Tiggly Counts Review - Techmomogy

Tiggly Counts is a brilliant new way to help your young ones learn math.  They are little toys that are registered by your iPad when they are placed on the screen making for a completely interactive learning experience.  When there is a solid toy for my sons to handle in combination with the iPad, it not only helps with what they’re learning but with their physical fine motor skills as well.  There are 3 free iPad apps to accompany the toys:

Tiggly Counts ReviewTiggly Chef

Your kids help Chef prepare outrageous recipes by counting out and adding the ingredients he asks for.  Kids can also suggest their own recipes.  My oldest is getting increasingly interested in cooking and is obsessed with this app.

Math symbols are shown to explain to your kids the actions they are taking, helping them learn with ease.

Digital pieces of cardboard become various imaginative creations that tell a story while teaching your kids counting, one-to-one matching, and equal sets.

Tiggly Addventure

Tiggly is off on an adventure and your kids helps him along the way by counting to build bridges, ladders, and more.

Each set of Tiggly Counts comes with their own carrying pouch (just like Tiggly Shapes did), making it easy to keep everything together and grab them on the way out for on the go fun.  And just like Tiggly Shapes, Tiggly Counts are well made, solid pieces with bright colored rubber coatings.  At $29.99, this should be an easy addition (pun intended) for the kids on your Holiday gift list!
