The (Ultimate) Coupons App

This post may contain affiliate links. Click here to read our full disclosure.

Want the ability to take your coupons with you?  Or search for one while you’re out and about?  The Coupons App for Android is THE way to go and it’s FREE.

When you start the app, there will be an ad that encourages you to upgrade your app.  There are two options for this, either pay to upgrade or choose the free option which will have the occasional offer pop up when you first start the app.   Free is free and those little offers are no big deal, so I went with that option.  Just click “no thanks” and you’re in and still receiving the full benefits of this app!

The majority of the functions occur on one screen, making this app super easy to navigate.  At the very top is a bar with 4 sort options like alphabetical or by date as well as a price check that brings up the barcode scanner which uses your phone’s camera to scan a product’s barcode.  Right under the bar is a super handy “Local Gas” price comparer that will show you the most recent per gallon price at your local gas stations.  So cool!

Now for the best part…the coupons!!!!  Scroll down to see all available coupons.  If you touch the line (not the icons on the sides or the link, the actual words making up the coupon info), two yellow blocks will pop up under the line.  The left one is “Phone” which will show the store/restaurant’s closest locations with their address and a clever button with the number so you can call right from the app.  The right one is labeled “Map/Email/Calendar” and gives you other options like “Share Coupon” and “Add to Calendar” among others.

Share your coupon via Facebook, Gmail, or even Bluetooth.  Want the actual coupon?  Click the link and your coupon shows up right on your screen.  Show it to the cashier or waiter and you should be able to get your deal.

Go to your Favorites or refresh the list by proximity with the “GPS Refresh” option by pressing your menu button and selecting from the pop up menu.

As if it couldn’t get any better, there’s a widget for your home screen that showcases a top coupon.

No more excuses or trimming coupons, combine this with Grocery IQ to cover all your bases.  Saving has never been easier.
