Choosing Our Dining Room Curtains | Budget Blinds Review • techmomogy

Have you ever encountered a room in your house that you just weren’t sure what to do with? Our dining room was that room for us. I spent months staring at it completely unsure what it should look like. And that’s really odd for me because I knew what every room in this house should look like. So I had to approach it piece by piece and slowly, it’s coming together perfectly.

A big part of the design ended up being curtains. I tend to shy away from curtains for numerous reasons: cost, style, the fact that I have 2 young boys that could wreak havoc on anything I choose. But I knew this room needed to be softened up with curtains. So when Budget Blinds contacted me to review their service and offered to send me a set of curtains, it felt like it was meant to be.

The dining room has an odd window layout with two narrow windows crowded together in one corner. There are no other windows to balance them out, just those two in the corner. I thought about using two pairs of curtains, one per window, but in my mind it seemed too heavy. So I stuck with one pair and placed them on the outside of each window. I chose light, airy, ivory linen curtains from Budget Blinds in the Back Tab style with a length of 108 inches so they could pool on the floor.

Budget Blinds processed and shipped my order in record time; I received them just a couple days later. The curtains are high quality, gorgeous, and add this amazing texture to the room. I was almost afraid to handle them, because boy mom. I washed my hands, triple checked they were clean and I wouldn’t let my husband touch them because he was installing our DIY pipe curtain rods (post coming soon!).
