Every little boy wants to be a superhero. My husband wants to be a superhero. Ok, I admit, I’d also love to be a superhero. We may need our own capes…but back to the kids! They can have their very own, custom capes and matching masks thanks to Sherry at babypop.
Sure, it’s fun to dress up like Superman or Iron Man, but what if they could be their own superhero? My sons were delighted to see the first letters of their names on their very own capes. For now, I’ve started calling them Super Cole and Super Dean, but I’m sure they’ll be more creative than their mom soon enough. The boys love to play in their capes almost daily, asking to wear them in the house, on the playground, and out and about. They seemed especially thrilled for our “photoshoot” at a putt putt in North Wildwood.
The capes are well made out of colorful satin while the shields and letters are felt. The felt is actually recycled soda bottles! All capes are 22″ long in the back and close with velcro. While we opted for the more traditional shield design, Sherry also has other shapes and deluxe logos available. Base shapes are the shield, heart, lightning bolt, star, circle, and crown. The deluxe logos are an additional fee and include a spider, pirate, cupcake, alligator and more.
My boys also received matching masks but don’t seem ready to wear them yet, so I’ve put them aside for now. In addition to the kids capes and masks, babypop also offers superhero t-shirts, crowns, gloves, doll & pet capes, and adult capes (yeah, they’re on our wish list!).
How about also helping a child in need? Babypop has teamed up with Cradles to Crayons to provide a child with their own cape when you choose the “Give a Cape” option at the reduced price of $12.00. You don’t have to buy a regular priced cape to choose this option either. What a wonderful idea!

What a cute and creative idea!! I bet these would be pretty easy to make at home and your child could design it theirs self! I love companies that help others. Nice find! 🙂
